Genpact Outing part one Friday October 5th

We arrived bright and early, at 5 AM to Genpact where we would pick up a bus and travel with the other managers to a location of which we knew little of. We knew there was a safari involved... who really NEEDED more. OK, they mentioned beer, but that was about it.

This was for an off site outing that Genpact put together for their managers and were kind enough to invite the AMERICANS along. A very kind and generous thing to do! There were maybe 80?? people? and 6 of us from the US that went.

That is our bus and Genpact behind it. Ya it's dark... it's 5:15 AM for cryin' out loud!

The cool ship building across the street from Joel's work. Yes blurry... I guess my camera was not having a good early morning attitude.

Normally this lot is FILLED with cars tetrissing for position.
There were people just getting off work and hopping on the bus to head out with us.
Here is the FIRST puppy in India that Joel was brave to pet. He was very cute, but very camera shy.

That is quite the head turn of avoidance there.

Delhi early in the morning. shops still closed.

People who have made their home under the bridge for the night getting ready for the day.

Then there's us... it's 7:45... yes that is AM... and we have cracked our first beer. We figured it was all OK though. Walt was probably just having his last one before he went to bed, so it was all about sharing time together... even if half way across the globe.
Our bus was quite tall. so was this truck with people on top of it....DUCK!!!
A place along the last windy leg of our journey

Hey, see that car coming right at us... ya, the one in OUR LANE!! wait, that would be us in HIS lane. AAHHH! We had some interesting near misses.

Phew!! we made it. Our luxury cabins await us!

Here we are... The main room of the cabin.

View out the window in our cabin.
The other view. Check that gap out under the door!

What's that over there you say??
Oh, you mean in the top corner of the window there??
OH YES!! That was our complimentary in room guest. Our gecko friend.

OH LOOK, He's ALSO camera shy!!

Isn't he CUTE!! I kept hoping for a foreign accent to come out of him trying to sell us car insurance, but no matter how much I talked to him, he didn't seem interested.

Not far from our room. The river.

Brad H. Not sure if he is pensive or giving us the bird. :)

River pic 2. Pretty mountains.

A PUPPY!!! Joel's second, my first petted in India... Small achievements.

Happy BABY!!!

OH, just ONE MORE!

Brad again. Just cuz it's fun to take pictures of Bradley. He is from S.C. Most everyone from the US is from MN. He helps round out our crew providing us with a different point of view being all from the south and stuff. Well, actually, he is just there so we have someone to pick on. :)

Dave B. Heading back to drop off and save the electronics!!

More of the crew in the river.

Picture above taken at bottom of these stairs with no railing. NOPE, not in America.

Below is a veiw down the pathway from our cabin to the river.

We had a scavenger hunt, made a bonfire, sans s'mores sadly, which was really nice and hung out. The food, we thought was pretty tasty. Mostly Indian. They had a very loud dance in the basement that you see above the stairs in the picture above.

Not much sleeping done as the next day would be our safari morning. :) That will follow. HOPEFULLY soon.
